CEMES Launch Seminar 2023 invitation
We are thrilled to announce that registration for the Launch Seminar of the reconstituted Centre for Modern European Studies (CEMES) has now opened. We call on researchers working on matters related to modern Europe, from the humanities and theology at Lund University and the University of Copenhagen, and from the Faculty of Culture and Society at Malmö University, to register for the event.
The seminar takes place on 25 August from 11:00-16:00 at Fakulteten för kultur och samhälle, Malmö Universitet, Nordenskiöldsgatan 1, 205 06 Malmö. Further information will follow upon registration.

The CEMES Launch Seminar is designed to create links between researchers from the three partner universities and spawn applications from researchers to start CEMES Research Groups. Before the seminar, you will be asked to complete a short questionnaire to help us create a map of our researchers’ work areas and the span of the new CEMES.
CEMES is a collaborative research centre between Lund University, Malmö University and the University of Copenhagen, a key forum and facilitator of transnational and multidisciplinary research on matters related to Europe. CEMES’ overarching purpose is to coordinate and develop research and education on Europe in an increasingly globalized world, based on an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to the area. CEMES provides funds and platforms for researchers to develop and discuss their work on Europe, including its relations to other regions of the world, its history, culture, media, politics, religions, philosophy, arts and literature, among others. The centre will furthermore initiate larger academic events open to all interested researchers from the three partner institutions.
