Crisis, Democracy, Consumerism

Crisis, Democracy, Consumerism

PhD Course 26-27 November, 2015 in Copenhagen

In the period from the 1960s to the present, the concepts of crisis, democracy and consumerism have become paramount categories, which assemble various social-political and cultural ideas, identities and practices across Western European societies. This course explores the ubiquity of and links between these concepts, as well the crucial transformations they have generated in respect to our perception of societies and of how these societies should be organized in Western Europe in the period from the 1960s until today.
