The Twilight of the Intellectuals

Department of Sociology hosts a new research centre for social theory.

To celebrate the opening, CEMES Honorary Professor Richard Wolin is one of the speakers and will give a talk on intellectuals and social theory:

The Twilight of the Intellectuals: from Sartre and Foucault to Finkielkraut and BHL

Richard Wolin is Professor of History and Political Science at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. His primary research interest is  European Intellectual History

The other speaker is Patrick Baert
(University of Cambridge) giving a speech about:
“Sartre in the 1940s - the making of an intellectual icon”.
