Global Transformations of Time in the Nineteenth Century

Public guest lecture by Sebastian Conrad (Freie Universität Berlin), author of What is Global History?

We are pleased to announce that Professor Sebastian Conrad (Freie Universität Berlin) will give a lecture on Global Transformations of Time in the Nineteenth Century at the University of Copenhagen.

He is the author of the book What is Global History? (Princeton University, 2016), a critical engagement with key issues in the field of global history.

Sebastian Conrad is a leading expert in the field, has a background in both modern Western European and Japanese history, and he has worked extensively on issues of colonialism and post-colonialism, trans-nationalism, intellectual history, memory, and historiography.
