CEMES research group Many Roads to Modernity presents a guest lecture by Professor Barbara Engelking-Boni.
Barbara Engelking-Boni is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Science and co-founder of the Polish Center of Holocaust Research, Warsaw. She is the author of Holocaust and Memory: the Experience of the Holocaust and Its Consequences: an Investigation Based on Personal Narratives (2001), The Warsaw Ghetto. A Guide to the Perished City (2007) and It is so nice, sunny day. The fate of the hiding Jews in the Polish countryside 1942-45 (in Polish, 2011)
In the lecture she will introduce her new book, and the Center:
