Eleven projects received funding from the CEMES Spring Call 2024
Grants
On 7 February the Steering Committee reviewed the applications for the CEMES Spring Call. We received 25 applications for a wide variety of themes, fields and interdisciplinary activities. We distributed grants for approximately 326.000 DKK.
The distribution proved challenging as so many projects showed high quality and original ideas. The Committee decided to support the following applications (in alphabetical order):
- “Academia and cultural production as post-migrant fields: Swedish and European perspectives” (symposium)
- Maja Povrzanović Frykman, Malmö University - “Autonomy in European Media Industries” (seminar and various activities)
- Mads Tommerup Andersen, University of Copenhagen - “Boundaries of Contrasted Forms” (Academic-artistic event)
- Johanna Rivano-Eckerdal, Lund University - “Church diplomacy caught between the Cold War and Decolonization” (Author-meets-critics-debate)
- Dino Knudsen, Malmö University - “Circulations of European Pasts through Translations of Literature” (workshop)
- Marianne Kirk, University of Copenhagen - “Decolonize This!” (interdisciplinary seminar)
- Denys Kiryukhin, Lund University - “Religious Minorities in a Changing Europe” (workshop)
- Hege Markussen, Lund University - “The Show Must Go Green” (Academic dissemination initiative)
- Anna Estera Mrozewicz, Lund University - “Urban Transformations and Urban Histories” (conference)
- Pål Brunnström, Malmö University - “States of mothers” (network-establishing activities)
- Devika Sharma, University of Copenhagen - Workshop for PhD and postdocs
- Emilie Dybdal, University of Copenhagen
We congratulate all who received funding and would very much encourage others to apply to our future calls, the next of which will be in June 2024. Please follow the website for news.
