Open call: Workshop about literary translation in a Europe between crisis and hope

We invite you to a workshop on the translation of current German-language literature with the German-Ukrainian-Jewish writer, journalist and musician Dmitrij Kapitelman (1986, Kyiv).

The workshop takes place on Friday 1 November 2024 at the Department of English, Germanic and Romance Studies at UCPH.

Participation is free, but there is a limited number of places, and thus we will ask for a sample translation of a short excerpt from Dmitrij Kapitelman's latest novel Eine Formalie in Kiew (2021) and his debut Das Lächen meines unsichtbaren Vaters (2016) upon registration.
