Haakon A. Ikonomou and CEMES establishes Global Biography Working Group

Together with Laura Almagor (University of Sheffield) and Victoria Phillips (LSE), Haakon A. Ikonomou becomes a founding and steering committee member of the new Global Biography Working Group, GloBio.

GloBio is an online platform and forum for the presentation, discussion, and dissemination of all things concerning global biographies, particularly of the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. GloBio aims to facilitate the development of global biography as a lively and connected academic field with a distinct set of approaches.

GloBio’s institutional partners include the Centre for Modern European Studies, CEMES (University of Copenhagen), Biography and Memoir (City University of New York), Judaic Studies Program (George Washington University), The Centre for Contemporary and Modern History (CoMo) (University of Sheffield) and "Another World? East Africa and the Global 1960s" (Leverhulme Trust).
