New Partnership between CEMES (EIC) and the United Nations Library and Archives, Geneva

New partnership between CEMES and the Institutional Memory Section of UN Geneva

A new partnership between CEMES (Europe and International Cooperation in the 20th Century Research Group, EIC) and the Institutional Memory Section of UN Geneva will each year give 1-2 history students at the Saxo Institute the opportunity to apply for internships at the UN Library and Archives.

Internships with UN Geneva will offer Saxo students a unique opportunity to work with multilateral archives, state-of-the-art digital material, and global communication strategies together with a multi-national team of officials and experts.

Next semester, Jonas Tilsted (currently 3rd year BA), will join UN Geneva for the final stages of the digitization of the entire League of Nations archives and to work on the Library and Archives’ public dissemination efforts.

Each year, CEMES will put out a call for possible candidates at the Saxo Institute. The next call will be published in the winter of 2023. Internships will typically be placed in the fall semesters.
