CEMES 2026-Call - The November Call
Call for applications for research activities during the calendar year of 2026.
The Centre for Modern European Studies calls for applications for activities during the year 2026. Please note that this will be CEMES’ only call for activities during 2026.
All researchers at the Faculty of Humanities and Theology (University of Copenhagen) the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology (Lund University) and the Faculty of Culture and Society (Malmö University) are invited to submit applications.
Applications for funding of interdisciplinary activities (such as guest-lectures, seminars in connection to writing applications for external funding, workshops, symposiums etc.) should fall within the CEMES research themes, namely modern Europe in an increasingly globalized world. The Centre aims to explore the last centuries’ political, cultural and intellectual transformation of Europe as well Europe’s relations with other regions in the world. CEMES supports research on European issues based on a broad interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to the area. Fields include (but are not limited to) history, culture, media, politics, international relations, religions, philosophy, arts, and literature.
Planned events should take place at one or several of the three partner institutions and must take place during the calendar year of 2026.
To apply, simply submit an application of max 5 pages including a project description of 1-2 pages.
The Steering Committee expects to grant a total sum of approximately DKK 600,000 in 2026. Please read the CEMES Funding Guidelines for further specification.
