CEMES aims to promote a broad range of activities to foster a varied and lively debate within modern European studies. Below are examples of the kinds of activities CEMES hosts.

Author Meets Critic

The 'Author Meets Critic'-session are a core part of CEMES' activities. The aim of 'Author Meet Critics' is to invite international scholars, who have authored new and path-breaking studies on matters related to Europe, in order to discuss their recent research with two local critics, as well as interested students and researchers.

Internal seminars

Internal seminars take place within the CEMES research groups. In this forum researchers can convene to discuss work in progress and exchange ideas on ongoing projects.
