Lutheran-Orthodox Dialogue: Perspectives of a Participant
Lecture by Professor Kenneth Appold, Princeton Theological Seminary.
About
Professor Kenneth Appold from Princeton Theological Seminary received his PhD from Yale University and Dr.theol.habil from the university in Halle-Wittenberg (Germany), thus a rare scholar bridging American and European academic cultures. He is well known for his work on the history and legacy of the Reformation. Still, Appold has also served as a research professor at the Institute for Ecumenical Research in Strassbourg. For several years he was a member of The Lutheran World Federation’s ecumenical efforts to meet the orthodox church and facilitate dialogue between the churches in Europe. The conflict in Ukraine has lately given this issue new relevance.
