New Perspectives on Early Modern Philosophy
This workshop is aimed at graduate students (MA and PhD level), who are creating new perspectives on early modern philosophy and critically assessing traditional historiographical accounts of the period. By questioning these established narratives of the philosophical canon and adding new perspectives, the workshop will contribute to creating a more inclusive and diverse history of philosophy that embraces the works and ideas of formerly marginalized figures. Exploring forgotten or suppressed voices of the early modern period will not only contribute to the re-writing of European intellectual history but also present us with a new perspective on contemporary matters.
