Abstract
In 1943, in his bestselling book One World, the former Republican Presidential candidate Wendell Willkie gave a name to the globalization we’ve lived with ever since. In this conversation, Samuel Zipp and Blanche Wiesen Cook join Victoria Phillips to talk about Willkie’s 1942 journey around the world, the book that revealed the true global dimensions of World War II, and the place of Willkie’s vision in the liberal internationalist political culture led by Eleanor Roosevelt.
