Author Meets Critic: Scientific Freedom: The Heart of the Right to Science
A debate on scientific and academic freedom as a part of the human right to benefit from science on the occasion of the publication of Scientific Freedom: The Heart of the Right to Science (Rowman & Littlefield, 2023).
Three of the authors of this book (Sebastian Porsdam Mann, Peter Treit, and Helle Porsdam) will engage in conversation with two prominent international experts in the field of the right to science and freedom of expression. Yvonne Donders, Professor of International Human Rights and Cultural Diversity, University of Amsterdam and current member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee. David Kaye, Professor of Law, University of California, Irvine, former United Nations Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression (2014-2020) and current Fulbright Distinguished Scholar in Public International Law at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute for Human Rights at Lund University.
