War, digital media and information operations
This lecture introduces students to (Russian) thinking about current and future war and the role of the digital domain within this. It will present examples of state-of-the-art Russian research on how to shape the preferences of target groups. This may, for instance, be political preferences expressed in a referendum. The use of the digital domain raises important and difficult questions pertaining for instance to surveillance, regulation and oversight.
